The Wool n Craft Shop, Chard
It is time for a change at the Craft Shop, I feel the need.
It is just to emphasis the fantastic response I have had in stocking knitting yarns and the demand I get for more in.
As The Wool n Craft Shop I intend to dedicate more shelf space to accommodate the increasing demand for different knitting wool. My intention is to continue to stock all the leading brands such as Sirdar and Sublime but also stock some more specialist
knitting yarns. I have already brought in the Alpaca Select Peruvian yarns and have increased the stock of Twilley's Freedom Sincere knitting wool. Never losing sight of the many other craft products that are in stock as these will also continue to expand and improve.
As The Wool n Craft Shop things are just going to get better.

New Kntting Yarns at The Craft Shop
Soon to be knitting with Alpaca Peruvian yarns.
Just a quick note to let you know about the new knitting yarns that are on sale at The Craft Shop and soon to be available on line.
I am so excited at having these incredible yarns in stock, with the picture of the rather grumpy looking Llama on the front of the ball it evokes an image of Peruvian enterprise entering the knitting world of Somerset.
I chose this line for it's a great substitute for a cashmere knit. Visit my supplier's site for more info at www.alpacaselect.co.uk.
Will get some llama photos on line soon.................

Thank you Chard and Somerset Knitters and crafters

The Craft Shop
Thank you all that have supported me in building up The Craft Shop, Chard.
When I first put forward the idea of starting a knitting and craft shop in the town I got a mixed response.
I am so proud of the support that all of my customers have given me and of the support from my fantastic team. The shop has only been running for a little over two years yet we have gained so many friendly and loyal customers. Special thanks to Glo, Marie, Terri (with her amazingly endless talents, a very crafty lady) and Mavis. Not forgetting Stuart, my Sirdar man, who has helped to make such a huge difference in merchandising and putting so many great ideas together.
My greatest surprise was the amount of interest that has come from all those dedicated knitters in our Somerset area. I have learned so much from you all, having gained an insight into the huge variety of knitting yarns and knitting patterns. I hope to be able to help more of you that have a need for more knitting yarns, materials and ideas so please leave a comment on this blog, or visit our on line site at www.craftshopsupply.co.uk.

One of the highlights in managing the store is the great interaction between our team and those who use our services. Just popping in for a chat about your latest projects, whether knitting a jumper or planning the next Damien Hurst masterpiece (sorry no formaldehyde available), the enthusiasm is infectious.
I hope to keep moving and developing the craft workshops and wish for people to put forward any suggestion they feel we could use. The folowing pictures were taken at a recent Bug Fest held in Yeovil
I had a great time helping out on the children's craft store making shrink art. The day went so fast with loads of children and parents joining in.
Terri worked on the Sculpey model bud making stall, creating miniature bugs which the children molded themselves.
Ooops looks like Terri just squished that little lads bug.
The hot air gun supplied the heat to shrink the art work
